Stir-Fried Chinese Broccoli

Summary:

Stir-fried Chinese broccoli is a light and crisp vegetarian dish that highlights the vegetable’s natural sweetness and vibrant green color.

Ingredients:

Chinese broccoli (gai lan) 300g (cut into sections)

Carrot half (sliced, optional)

Ginger 3 slices (shredded)

Salt to taste

Soy sauce 1 tablespoon

White pepper powder a pinch

Vegetable oil appropriate amount

Water a small amount (for stir-frying if needed)

Instructions:

1.Prepare the Ingredients:

Wash and cut the Chinese broccoli into sections. Slice the carrot and shred the ginger.

2.Blanch the Broccoli:

Boil water in a pot, add a pinch of salt, and blanch the Chinese broccoli for 30 seconds. Drain and set aside.

3.Sauté the Ginger:

Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add shredded ginger and stir-fry until aromatic.

4.Stir-Fry the Broccoli:

Add the blanched Chinese broccoli and carrot slices. Stir-fry quickly over high heat.

5.Season the Dish:

Add salt, soy sauce, and white pepper. Stir well, adding a splash of water if needed.

6.Serve and Enjoy:

Cook until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from the pan and serve hot.
