Braised Chestnuts with Chinese Cabbage

Summary:

Braised chestnuts with Chinese cabbage is a mild, tender, and nourishing vegetarian dish perfect for comforting family meals.

Ingredients:

Chestnuts 150g (pre-cooked or peeled raw chestnuts)

Chinese cabbage 300g (cut into chunks)

Ginger 3 slices

Salt to taste

Soy sauce 1 tablespoon

White pepper powder a pinch

Water 400ml

Vegetable oil appropriate amount

Instructions:

1.Prepare the Ingredients:

Cut the cabbage into chunks. Use pre-cooked chestnuts or peel and cook raw ones. Slice the ginger.

2.Sauté the Ginger:

Heat vegetable oil in a pan and stir-fry the ginger slices until aromatic.

3.Add Vegetables and Chestnuts:

Add cabbage and stir-fry until slightly softened, then add the chestnuts and mix well.

4.Simmer with Seasoning:

Pour in water and soy sauce. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes to soften and enhance the flavor.

5.Season and Serve:

Add salt and white pepper powder. Cook for 1 more minute, then serve warm when the sauce slightly thickens.
