One Pure Thought, All Phenomena Arise from the Mind

“One pure thought, all phenomena arise from the mind” is not a mystical slogan but a concise description of how experience unfolds. When the present thought is free from grasping and aversion, experience appears clearly; when it is tainted, phenomena are distorted. The key is not the multiplicity of phenomena, but the purity of this very moment’s orientation.

1. What Is “One Thought”?

1. An orientation, not a time unit

How the mind turns toward experience.

2. Directional by nature

Toward clinging or toward awareness.

3. Foundational to experience

It shapes what follows.

2. What Does “Pure” Mean?

1. Not absence of thought

Thoughts arise without capture.

2. Not suppression

Experience is allowed.

3. Not identification

Content is not taken as self.

3. How Phenomena Arise from the Mind

1. Structure of appearance

The same situation appears differently.

2. Assignment of meaning

Events are neutral until interpreted.

3. Path of response

Understanding leads to action.

4. Chain Reaction of a Tainted Thought

1. Immediate grasping

Self-position hardens.

2. Emotional amplification

Experience is colored.

3. Habitual action

Reaction replaces choice.

5. Unfolding from a Pure Thought

1. Seeing before judging

Clarity precedes reaction.

2. Emotions are held

They do not dominate behavior.

3. Actions fit reality

Choices carry fewer regrets.

6. Cultivating a Pure Thought Now

1. Notice the arising

Catch the moment of appearance.

2. Do not extend the story

Let it end naturally.

3. Return to awareness

Rest in knowing itself.

7. Clearing Misunderstandings

1. Not moral purification

It is operational clarity.

2. Not exclusion of negativity

It is reduced identification.

3. Not permanent maintenance

It is repeated return.

8. From Moment to Daily Life

1. Body as anchor

Ground awareness amid emotion.

2. Breath as continuity

Sustain presence.

3. Awareness as habit

Purity stabilizes naturally.

Conclusion

“One pure thought, all phenomena arise from the mind” points to a practical truth: when this moment is free from grasping, experience clarifies by itself. Phenomena remain, but their binding power weakens; life stays complex without becoming confusing. Practice happens here—each return to a pure thought opens clarity, and with clarity, ease naturally follows.
