Fragrant Stir-Fried Green Beans

Summary:

This is a simple and aromatic vegan stir-fry dish where green beans are cooked to a crisp texture with light seasoning, making it a flavorful and healthy home-style dish.

Ingredients:

Green beans 200g (trimmed and cut into sections)

Red bell pepper 50g (sliced, optional)

Ginger powder 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Salt 1/2 teaspoon

Light soy sauce 1 tablespoon

White pepper powder to taste (optional)

Five-spice powder 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon

Water 2 tablespoons

Instructions:

1. Prepare Ingredients:
Trim and wash the green beans, then cut them into 5 cm sections. Slice the red bell pepper if using.

2. Blanch the Green Beans (Optional):
Bring water to a boil, add a pinch of salt, and blanch the green beans for 30 seconds, then drain to maintain their vibrant color and crisp texture.

3. Heat the Pan:
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, then add ginger powder (optional) and stir-fry briefly to release the aroma.

4. Stir-Fry the Green Beans:
Add the green beans and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until evenly heated.

5. Add Seasonings:
Toss in the red bell pepper slices and continue stir-frying for another 30 seconds. Add salt, light soy sauce, five-spice powder (optional), and white pepper powder (optional), mixing well.

6. Simmer for Flavor:
Pour in 2 tablespoons of water, cover the pan, and let it simmer over low heat for 1-2 minutes to enhance the taste.

7. Serve and Enjoy:
Transfer to a plate and serve immediately. The green beans are crisp, flavorful, and infused with aromatic seasonings, making this a simple yet delicious vegan stir-fry.
